IV Sedation
For some children, traditional dental visits can be overwhelming despite our best efforts. IV sedation allows children to sleep comfortably while receiving dental care in a controlled, closely monitored environment.
🌞When IV Sedation Is Recommended🌞
IV sedation may be recommended for children who:
🌞Have severe dental anxiety
🌞Have sensory or behavioral challenges
🌞Require extensive dental treatment
🌞Are very young and unable to cooperate safely
🌞What Parents Can Expect🌞
A licensed anesthesia provider administers and monitors sedation throughout the entire visit. Your child’s vital signs are continuously monitored to ensure safety and comfort at all times.
🌞Why This Option Can Be Helpful🌞
IV sedation allows us to complete all necessary dental treatment in one visit, reducing repeated stress and multiple appointments for both children and parents.
🌞After the Appointment🌞
Children wake up comfortably with you nearby and usually remember little to nothing about the procedure. We provide detailed aftercare instructions and are always available for questions.
What Constitutes a Dental Emergency?
Most dental emergencies fall into one of three main categories:
- Health
- Function
- Aesthetics
Are you unable to eat, or do you have a chipped front tooth that’s too embarrassing to face work or school? If so, you need an emergency dentist who can see you as soon as possible, ideally the same day.
Some of the most common dental emergencies we treat include sharp or broken teeth, gum swelling, pain, and hypersensitivity. Other frequent issues include soft tissue lesions, such as ulcers under dentures, abscessed teeth, and traumatic injuries. Our team is here to provide prompt and compassionate care when you need it most.
